Nebo

Nebo

Nebo

Van den Boogaardt (1887-1956) started his career in The Hague at the photograph workshop of Vermeulen. After some years he became employee at C.A.P. Ivens (Capilux), where he developed the film-dense film in his spare time. In 1925 he founded the firma Nebo in order to develope the film-dense film (for which he has got a patent). He tried to sell his patent to companies like Agfa, Kodak and Gevaert. However the rise of the role film camera' s were in its disadvantage. In 1926 Nebo started with the production of the film-dense film and around 1930 they introduced a brons coloured boxcamera, provided with an A.G.C shutter. Unfortunately a small number of these camera's were sold. By the discomfort of the 1930 years the company was raised in 1933.
